On May 21st, General Meeting of APCRG members have elected members of APCRG Board. Following persons have been elected as Board members:
M. Khetsuriani (Servier), M.Asatiani (ROCHE), M.Maisuradze (Astra Zeneca), G.Pirtskhalaishvili, Z. Charkviani (Gedeon Richter).
On the position of Board Chairman has been elected Mr. Grigori Pirtskhalaishvili.
The event dedicated to the International Day of Pharmacist, was held on November 3rd at the University of Georgia (Alasania), where our Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
At the event, the Executive Director of APCRG delivered a presentation about the role of pharmacists for University students.

APCRG members general meeting has accepted and validated membership request submitted by the Georgian representation of the company "Astellas Pharma Europe B.V." (the Netherlands). More information about company and it's international operations can be seen on company website.
The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations - IFPMA has posted a new online platform on its website to combat counterfeit (falsified) medicines.
The platform includes various resources that IFPMA has created over the years, both independently and with partner organizations.

On April 24-26, APCRG participated in a very important international event, held in San Diego (USA).
On this event APCRG was presented by Executive Director Mr.Irakli Margvelashvili and head of the board Mr. Grigori Pirtskhalaishvili.
Executive Director of the Association Irakli Margvelashvili is the member of the Advisory Board of the Georgian branch of San Diego University for several years. It is noteworthy, that the opening and functioning of Georgia branch of San Diego University is considered to be one of the most important events in Georgia and US relations.
The event was attended by the members of the government and the Parliament of Georgia, the management of the higher education institutions, the Director of the National Library, the highest level of management of large Georgian and International companies, Mayor of Tbilisi, Ambassador of Georgia to USA, AMCHAM Director in Georgia and other important persons.
The aim of the event was to provide information about Georgia for the American side in terms of improvement of Georgia and US relations. Within the events of Georgia’s days, the city of San Diego became the official friend of Tbilisi and in the main campus library of San Diego University opened the Georgian corner.

On March 1st, 2017 APCRG has organized panel session in Tbilisi studio and has joined Adam Smith Conference in Moscow via skype connection live channel. In Tbilisi studio were invited following guests: Ilona Kokiashvili (Executive Director of Distributor's Association), Tea Jiqia (Deputy Head of the Department of Pharmacy, Lepl State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities), Grigori Pirtskalaishvili (Expert from Pharmaceutical Industry). Moderator of session in Tbilisi, was Irakli Margvelashvili (Executive Director, APCRG) Moderator of session in Moscow, Tako Kereselidze (Company -Pharmagate, one of the sponsor's of the event in Moscow). Session was organized by APCRG following the request received form Adam Smith Institute representatives who has expressed Adam Smith Conference high interest to the pharmaceutical market and pharmaceutical industry development in Georgia. Today was held the Final Conference of the EU Twinning project “Capacity Building of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia” in Radisson Blue Iveria Hotel Tbilisi.
The Project was implemented by HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management Ltd and FIOD the Criminal investigation service of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands.
The Final Conference presented the major outputs and milestones of the Twinning project.
It was launched by the Minister of Finance of Georgia Mr. Dimitri Kumsishvili. The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Competition Agency of Georgia, Mr. Nodar Khaduri and by government officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
APCRG was presented by Executive Director - Mr. Irakli Margvelashvili, as one of the members of the twinning project's implementing work group.
